BALATON FUN FEST

BALATON SPORTSMEN'S CLUB: The Sportsmen's Club's mission is to promote, execute and assist in all matters related to hunting and fishing as wells as the conservation and restoration of our natural resources. The Club is responsible for several projects during the year: Highway 14 Ditch Cleanup, Annual Game Feed, Spink Lake Food Plot , Lake Yankton Fishing Tournament, Take a Kid Fishing at Lake Yankton, Gun Training, Fall Fun NIght and the installation and removal of oxygen aerators on 4 local lakes.
BALATON AMERICAN LEGION: The Legion meets once per month year-round. The Legion contributes in a variety of ways throughout the year, including Boys State sponsorship, scholarships, Fun Fest work, Honor Guard for funerals, flag donations, financial donations and so much more. BALATON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: The Balaton Chamber of Commerce works to "promote and support the community of Balaton and its businesses." However you don't need to be a business owner to be a member. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join. The Chamber meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Balaton Community Center.
Events that the Chamber sponsors include the Chamber Banquet, Easter Egg Hunt, Fun Fest, Fall Festival, Tour of Homes, Trunk or Treat and Holiday Soup Supper.
